our story

BUiLDiNG CHARACTER is downtown Lancaster ’s only gallery for architectural salvage, antiques, art and assembly.

We strive to provide a green, environmentally friendly company to work with local government, historical preservation groups, developers, architects, artists and home-renovators to provide an outlet for architectural salvage.

BUiLDiNG CHARACTER is a collection of antique artifacts, historical building materials, functional memorabilia, local art, a history of Lancaster culture and one of the city's most unique and alternative assembly space.

Fueled by an overwhelming response by the community, BUiLDiNG CHARACTER sets the stage for the local community to experience, share and grow downtown.
