firstFRIDAY AUG 1

"Salvage in the City" by artists Diane Levenson and Lou Ziegler and photographer Tom Bejgrowicz.

Levenson is into heavy metal. She sees art where others see trash, as she creates one-of-a-kind pieces in her Conestoga workshop.

Ziegler, who creates original origami pieces, won the 2007 Open Art Award at the Lancaster Museum of Art with a piece titled “Good Night Grace.”

Bejgrowicz takes a photographic journey of abandoned Lancaster buildings, including famed Rocky Springs Amusement Park.

Live jazz by the five-piece Faux Minx, and an outdoor market featuring antiques, art (including works by "cookie artist" Al Sherman), photography, jewelry and other treasures, as well as barbecue sandwiches and ribs by chef Jim Myers of Catering Concepts, desserts and pastries by Eric Moshier of Sweet Infinity and pizza, kebabs, burgers and hot dogs (and more) by Nick's Pizza. Meet the artists and view their inspiring artwork at a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 1, 2008.
